Unfortunately most all of us have either known someone who had cancer, had cancer ourselves, or lost some to cancer or other illnesses.  My family is very close knit.  I grew up with my cousin Mandi (Sandi's daughter).  She is 10 months younger than me.  In December of 1996 she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy whom she named Justin.  Sadly though in March 1997 he passed away from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).  No one knows why it happens.  It is one of the most awful things that happen to any family.  In May 1999 she again gave birth.  This time she had a beautiful daughter Kaitylnn.  Again something awful happened.  Kaitlynn became suddenly very ill in 2006.  She was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumor.  Within a couple of weeks, she too passed away.  Mandi gave birth once again to Zander in 2007.  He passed away from SIDS as well.  Mandi will be 30 years old this October (2008) and she has lost 3 children in her life.  She does have 2 wonderful boys though!  Brandon age 12 and Preston age 8.  Three awful tragedies have struck our family and have deeply hurt my Aunt Sandi, Mandi, and Mandi's sister Bobbi.  Please consider purchasing a bracelet so that I may donate the money to St Judes Children's Hospital in their name for research.  One day I hope and pray they are able to find cures for cancer and other illness that affect our children.  As a parent, all I can ever hope for for my boys is they grow up HEALTHY and happy.  Thank you in advance for your support for research for ALL children out there who are sick.

Awareness ribbons are a wonderful way to show support or hope for a cure.  I have done some research on what the different colors of ribbons mean.  Below you will find what the colors stand for.  They are listed in alphabetic order of the illness.  To the right you will find what the color of crystal and small beads look like.*

I am designing awareness bracelets with the different colors.  You can pick up to 4 colors for the crystals and one color for the small beads.  You can mix and match colors, make it all one color, however you wish.

The bracelets are either made with 3mm crystals with size 11 seed beads, size 8 seed beads (about the same size as crystals) with size 11 seed beads, or size 11 with size 15 seed bead.  A bracelet made with either the crystals or size 8 seed beads will be a little bit more chunkier than a bracelet made with the 11s and 15s.  The clasps will vary, and magnetic clasps can be added upon request.
